Commentary

Alpha and lambda are clear. The letter at the left break is possibly a sigma. There is a definite incline in the stroke relative to the alpha and the rim. The angle is too shallow for an ypsilon or kappa. A tau is possible if the horizontal was scewed, but with the carefully drawn letters as shown in alpha and lambda, a scewed tau is not very likely.

Personal names starting with Σαλ- are quite common: 59 are listed in LGPN online. Drinking cups are often inscribed with personal names, dedications or sympotic inscriptions along the rim.
